Research interests
The field of Ekaterina`s scientific interests includes psycholinguistics, psychology of thinking, emotion. In particular, she is interested in the role of emotional and cognitive processes involved in completion of intellectual tasks. Ekaterina mainly focuses on complex cognitive mechanisms of understanding ambiguous texts. She also studies metacognitive strategies of emotional regulation and their connection to the processes of understanding. In her research, Ekaterina applies qualitative approach, which is currently considered to be one of the most promising approaches in relation to high-level cognitive processes.
In the Lab
Ekaterina is engaged in studying the features of implicit and explicit types of semantic learning, collects empirical data. Also she is engaged in studying audiovisual correspondence. As part of this project, Ekaterina collects empirical data, takes part in the development of the experimental plans, is engaged in data processing and interpretation.
