Research interests
Varvara is interested in learning more about the nature of understanding and conceptual thinking. She believes in multi-disciplinary approach and her research interests also include characteristics of cognitive processes on one hand, and text semantics and pragmatics on the other. Another area of her research interests is the connection between verbal abilities and intellectual efficiency.
Varvara is currently working on research of predictors of understanding implicit meanings in verbal texts.
In the Lab
Varvara takes part in conducting experiments (i.e. communication with the participants of the experiments) and taking part in the organization of the laboratories’ events, translating and posting lab materials.
